Privacy Policy

• We do not require an account. We never ask for your name, address, or phone number.
• Many of our tools run entirely inside your browser. For those, your file never leaves your device and never reaches our servers.
• For tools that do need a server, your file is processed and then automatically deleted within 30 minutes. Nobody reads it, and we do not keep a copy.
• We use analytics to understand how the site is used, and we may show advertising. Both use cookies, and you can decline them without losing access to anything.

This is the part most people care about, so we have made it specific.

Tools that run entirely in your browser

The following tools process your file using code running on your own device. The file is never uploaded, never transmitted, and never seen by us. If you disconnected from the internet after the page loaded, these tools would still work.

Tools that use our server

The following tools require software that cannot run inside a browser. For these, your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed automatically, and returned to you.

For every server-side tool:

• Files are stored temporarily under a randomly generated name and deleted automatically within 30 minutes, whether or not you download the result.
• Processing is entirely automated. No person opens, reads, or reviews your file.
• We do not copy, share, sell, or retain your files for any purpose.
• We do not analyse file contents beyond what the tool you selected requires.
• Passwords entered for Protect PDF or Unlock PDF are used only for that single operation. They are never stored, never logged, and cannot be recovered by us.

Each tool page tells you whether it runs in your browser or on our server.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, postal address, phone number, payment details, passwords, account credentials, or the contents of your documents. We have no accounts, so there is no profile attached to you.

What is collected automatically

This is gathered through Google Analytics and standard server logs.

The automatic check on some tools

Nine of our server tools run a quick automatic check before your file is uploaded, to confirm the request comes from a person and not an automated program. They are Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF, RTF to PDF, ODT to PDF, HTML to PDF, OCR PDF, Extract Text, and Compare PDF. You do not need to do anything, because the check runs in the background.

The check is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile. To do its job, Cloudflare receives your IP address, your browser’s user agent (which says what browser and operating system you use), technical details of how your browser connects, and which website the check is running on. The check does not involve your file.

This information is used only for security: to tell people apart from automated programs, to block abuse of the service, and to improve that detection. It is not used for analytics or advertising. Cloudflare handles it under its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

If you email us

We receive whatever you send us: your email address and your message. We use it only to reply. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not share it.

We use three categories of cookie:

• Necessary: required for the site to function, such as remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics: used by Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Optional.
• Advertising: used to show and measure advertisements. Optional.

When you first visit, you can accept all, decline all, or choose category by category. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.

Declining cookies does not restrict your access to any tool. Every tool works exactly the same either way.

Advertising specifically

We may display advertising served by Google and its partners. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Our hosting providers operate servers in the United States and other countries. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this means your data may be transferred outside your region.

We rely on our providers’ standard contractual clauses for these transfers. We ourselves hold no database of users, so the volume of personal data crossing borders is minimal.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request that it be corrected or deleted
• Object to or restrict how it is processed
• Receive a copy in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for cookies at any time

Because we do not require accounts, we hold very little that could identify you. To exercise any of these rights, email stylepdf.com@gmail.com and we will respond as promptly as we can.

If you are in California, you may request details of what personal information has been collected about you, and ask that it not be sold. We do not sell personal information.

If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing are your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service (for server logs and abuse prevention).

stylePDF is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Files are transferred over encrypted connections and stored under randomly generated names for the short time they exist. Uploads are size-limited and checked before processing.

No system is perfectly secure. Our strongest protection is that we keep almost nothing: no accounts, no stored files, no profiles.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and significant changes will be noted on this page.
